Replica of a 10th-11th century wolf* pendant found in Iceland. It can be interpreted as either a Thor’s hammer** or as a cross. The similarity was convenient for the Vikings who had to deal with a Europe that was under the powerful influence of the Catholic Church.

*Odin's pair of wolves were known as Geri and Freki. The Vikings often held the symbol of wolves in high esteem because they believed it was the symbol of Odin and his presence.
