large GOTLAND DRAGONHEADS BRACELET silver (handmade by Viking Kristall)

Handmade replica of dragon* heads bracelet** from 10th century Bunge - Gotland (Sweden). Hand crafted using traditional methods, in sterling silver.
Size: thickness 8 mm, inside size 55-70 mm, inside length head to head 18cm - may be easily adjusted by hand, a little opened or closed.
Materials: made in a sterling silver.
All the designs from the VIKING KRISTALL are very tough, solid and chunky.
*For Vikings the dragon head on the prow of the ship has been enough to scare away the sea monsters lurking in the depths. One of the dragons mentioned in the Norse sagas is Nidhogg - dragon/serpent who gnaws at a root of the world tree, Yggdrasil.
**For the Vikings, armrings were often used to cement bonds of loyalty. They could often be bestowed upon young adult to symbolise their coming of age. Some of the jewellery was ornamental and it could also indicate wealth.

Great piece! Very similar to the Gotland Dragon arm ring found in the island of Gotland. The work Krystian has put into this has made it feel like you're owning your own museum piece, it feels and looks solid. If you're looking for something like this you will definitely not regret this purchase. Would recommend! The shipping was also very fast.
