GOTLAND BALL PENDANT - carnelian and silver (handmade by Viking Kristall)

Replica based on viking pendant from 10th - 12th century, found in Visby, Gotland, Sweden. Similar jewellery have been found in eastern - rus viking regions.
It has been suggested that the lenses themselves are much older than their mounts and may have been used by craftsmen for magnification in fine work, as reading stones, or to start fires.
Size: polished carnelian ball 12mm.
Materials: made in a sterling silver with a carnelian* ball inside. All the filigree is hand made with a master precision.
Different stones also available.
All the designs from the VIKING KRISTALL are very tough, solid and chunky.
*Carnelian is considered to increase personal power and physical energy, give courage, and boost creativity and compassion. Aids meditation by allowing deeper concentration and keeping out interrupting thoughts. Carnelian is useful in making decisions by grounding in reality.

Ball is paler than in the photo and you can see daylight between the ball and the silver frame. Other than that quality is pretty good.
